For more than three generations, the Dal Cero family has overseen every stage of production, from the grapevine all the way to bottling.

The philosophy of founder Augusto Dal Cero – paying great respect for tradition – continues to be our mission, resulting in the truest expression of the land.

The vineyards surrounding the Corte Giacobbe estate, dating back to ancient times, are located on the slopes of two extinct volcanoes, known as Calvarina and Crocetta, on land that is volcanic in origin, made up of lava and tuff and rich in microelements.

The family tends to the estate’s vineyards with great care, planting Garganega, Durella, Pinot Nero, and Pinot Grigio vines.

Valpolicella is not far from Soave, but its geological make-up is very different from the area around Roncà, and the grapes that can be cultivated there are mostly indigenous. Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara are among the most common grape varieties.

The characteristic production methods in this area – including an especially unique drying technique – have led to some of the great masterpieces, such as Amarone, the most prestigious wine in Valpolicella.

CLASSIC – 60min – € 25pp
The “Classic” Wine Tasting Experience begins with an introduction of the local area and the history of the Dal Cero family.
It continues with a tour of the cellar, where the winemaking and aging techniques are explained, and concludes with a tasting of four wines from the region.
The tasting is a journey for the senses that allows for discovering our classic wines: our Traditional Method sparkling wine made from Durella and Chardonnay grapes;
our Soave crafted from Garganega; and the red wines of Valpolicella, which has for many years been the most important appellation for red wines in the Verona area. You will taste a selection of wines that truly represent our local area, produced from grapes grown on our hillside vineyards.

The “Wines of Excellence” Tasting Experience will appeal to the most discerning palates and those who want to discover the most authentic soul of what we produce.
The experience begins with an introduction to the local area and the history of the Dal Cero family, continues with a tour of the winemaking facilities, and concludes with a tasting of our finest selections.
The tasting features our most prestigious wines, beginning with Cuvée Augusto, our Traditional Method sparkling wine made from Durella grapes; continues with our Soave, from its freshest incarnation to a more evolved and complex style; and concludes with two great reds from Valpolicella – Ripasso and Amarone.

BOLLICINE CHE PASSIONE – 1h – € 40pp
The “Passion for Bubbles” Wine Tasting Experience is meant for those who love sparkling wines. Here we focus on our spumante wines, made strictly according to the rules of the Traditional Method – but the experience goes even further!
The visit begins with a tour of the winemaking and aging facilities, offering an overview of the area of origin and the grape varieties, before continuing with an explanation of how our sparkling wines are made.
The tasting begins with our Soave Roncà Monte Calvarina; it then continues with three Traditional Method spumante wines: two produced on the hills around Roncà (in the Monti Lessini area), and one Rosé sparkling wine from our Montecchiesi Estate in Cortona, Tuscany.

VINI DEL TERRITORIO E NON SOLO – 50min – € 40pp
The “Local Wines and More” Tasting Experience includes 5 wines from the Veneto regions of Soave and Valpolicella and some Tuscan wines.
Actually, in 1980, Dario Dal Cero, who was fascinated by the Tuscany region, decided to buy his first vineyards in Cortona. Today, the Dal Cero family still produces important red wines (and more) at Tenuta Montecchiesi.
With this experience, you can enjoy a mix of wines from the Veneto and Tuscan regions, all made by us, ranging from still white wines to sparkling wines, from rosés to reds.
At our Corte Giacobbe estate, you will discover the Dal Cero family’s homeland and its history, including a visit to the wine cellar.

SAFARI EXPERIENCE AND TASTING – 1h 30min – € 55pp

For the more adventurous or those who would like to truly get to know the local area, we offer an experience that offers a full immersion in nature.
The tour begins in the cellar, where winemaking techniques are explained and visitors are shown around the vinification and ageing rooms.
This is followed by an off-road tour of the high-altitude vineyards, ending at the crest of Monte Calvarina.
This volcano has been extinct for millions of years, and it is where we grow our best grapes, at an altitude of around 600 metres above sea level.
