OUR COMPANY
Our Vigna del Gal winery is located in Col San Martino, part of the municipality of Farra di Soligo, among the hills of Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbia- dene, declared a UNESCO World Heritage in 2019.
In 1986, after the death of his father Guido Balliana, Italo inherited small plots of vineyard, in an area known for the production of Prosecco Superiore. In the early years, Italo gave the harvested grapes to a local cellar and it was only in 1992 that, together with his wife Claudia, he decided to vinify theirs in a small cellar under the house..
OUR VINEYARDS
The real challenge is consumed in the vineyard. The quality of our wine starts right here: the morphology of the soil requires a process that is carried out entirely by hand and which preserves the integrity of the berry and the organoleptic qualities of the grapes. Taking care of these lands requires three fundamentals: dedication, passion and a pinch of madness.
HEROIC CULTIVATION
As we aim to produce quality wines, we dedicate ourselves with care and attention to our vines overcoming obstacles and hardships caused by the impervious places where our vineyards are located. Our efforts became daily challenges, everything is strictly handmade as in the past. our dedication is rewarded by the success of an excellent product we are proud to share with our friends and costumers.
